This is the early phase of the design process, in which the broad outlines of function and form of something are articulated. It includes the design of interactions, experiences, processes, and strategies.
The point in a room, or design, that the eye is drawn to.
This is focused on enhancing health, quality and safety of healthcare interior environments for those who use them, including patients and staff.
Interior design is the art and science of enhancing an interior to achieve a healthier and more aesthetically pleasing environment for the people using the space. It involves the decoration and styling of interiors along with specifying and managing the placement of interior products.
This is a colour scheme that’s centred around a single colour.
A visual tool that communicates concepts and visual ideas. It’s a well thought out and planned arrangement of images, materials, pieces of text, etc. that is intended to evoke or project a particular style or concept.
These projects often range from designing the interiors of a new construction home to redesigning the interior of an existing home.
This is the examination of a location or spot in order to obtain data or information. This information includes feasibility reporting and estimation of cost and the time required to perform a certain task.
This is a relatively new conceptual design discipline that crosses the boundaries of traditional design specialisms, like architecture, landscape architecture, landscape design, interior design, and urban design.
Sustainable design is the creation of a design strategy with an aim to reduce the use of finite energy resources to go towards global C02 reduction initiatives.
