Pamela Breda

MA Film Practice Module Leader

Pamela Breda is an artist, filmmaker and researcher working at the crisscross of visual arts and experimental filmmaking. She holds an MA in Visual Arts from IUAV University (IT), a PhD in Visual Arts from Kingston University (UK) and she is current senior postdoc at Angewandte University (Vienna, AT). 

Pamela was appointed artist in residency at several international art institutions, including Cité Internationale Des Arts (Paris, F), Pratt Institute (New York, USA), Boghossian Foundation (Bruxelles, BE) and Botin Foundation (Santander, E).

Pamela's career highlights

  • Receiving several art awards and fellowships, including IMèRa Fellowship (Marseille, F), Cantica 21 (MibaC, IT), Italian Council Award (MibaC, IT), Kingston University Phd Scholarship (Kingston, UK) and Moving’Up (Turin, IT)
  • Having films screened internationally and presented at festivals and art venues such as “SheffieldDocFest” (UK), “ECRA Film Festival” (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil), “Revolutions Per Minute Festival” (Boston, USA), “Digital Film Library”, Clermont-Ferrand Film Festival (Clermont-Ferrand, F), Cite Internatinale Des Arts, (Paris, F), “Vision Du Reel” Film Festival and Media Library (Nyon, CH).
